After
being in partnership with his brother Paul as
Ryder Brothers Builders from 1977 to 1987, Ken
founded Ken Ryder Construction, Inc. of Bozeman,
Montana. Prior to being in partnership with
his brother and upon graduating from the University
of Colorado, Ken worked as a journeyman carpenter
in Boulder, Colorado, San Francisco and Marin
County, California.
Ken has a total of 35 years experience in residential
and light commercial construction both as a
carpenter and general contractor.
Ken Ryder Construction, Inc. specializes in
high end custom homes, remodels, additions and
historic preservation projects. Several of Ken's
historic preservation/ remodeling projects are
featured in the newly published Historic
Homes of Bozeman. In 2001 The Bozeman Historic
Preservation Advisory Board award Ken a certificate
for excellence in the category of individual
contribution.
Ken's approach to contracting incorporates close
communication among all the prinipal parties
involved, especially the architect, interior
designer and owner. |
Ken has established a strong and long term relationship
with a pool of key architects and subcontractors who
share Ken's commitment to a high standard of creative
design and craftsmanship. As General Contractor Ken
is involved in all phases of construction whether
it be a new home in the mountains surrounding Bozeman,
or a high end remodel/ preservation project on Bozeman's
historic southside. Good communication, careful scheduling
and progress reports all contribute to the success
of Ken's projects."
